Barnes & Noble The largest bookstore chain in the U.S.
Hoover's Online claims B&N sells 1 out of every 8 books in the country. Some branches also sell music and movies, and have cafes selling Starbucks coffee. The four-story Union Square branch sells music and also has a book-signing area on the top floor where countless famous authors have visited.
