There are whole shopping centers outside of the city called "Outlet Malls" which supposedly sell excess output and "seconds"- which are items that were manufactured with less than perfect quality.

Glossary:

• Sug. Mfg. Price: Suggested retail price suggested by manufacturer, especially common on consumer electronics and durables. Actual sales prices are usually lower than this price.
• Outlet store: supposedly sell excess output and "seconds" ().
• Seconds: less than perfect quality
• Mill ends.
• Returned merchandise.
• Factory reconditioned
• Full-warranty.
• Return for store credit only.
• Grey goods: Goods imported from lower priced markets for retail in the USA without a warranty valid in the USA.

TYPWarning: Beware of the "little shops" with big bright signs saying "LOWER THAN WHOLESALE" or "GOING OUT OF BUSINESS SALE"!! and don't expect real bargains from street vendors.
