MUSIC VENUES & CLUBS IN NEW YORK CITY

(389 listings) File Created: 23-Jul-08
This category contains the following:
2528 MUSIC, ROCK & JAZZ CLUBS

TYPTip: Dance clubs will often make you wait on line before entering. Sometimes this is due to a large crowd inside, but other times they do it just to add to the mystique of the club. In cases such as this, rather than waiting on line, you should get in a cab - or better yet offer a limousine driver $10 to do it - and drive around the block. Have the driver park directly in front of the bar. Often the people working the door will greet your car, open your door, and escort you directly in the club - all because it looks good.

Time Out Guide- New York, Time Out New York, Penguin Books, New York, 1998, 346 pp, 14oz 7 1/2 in, colorful maps, B/W photos, $14.95.

Time Out New York Magazine, Time Out New York, New York, Weekly, 145 pp , 8 1/2x11 in, color photos, $2.50.
