Bronx Zoo/Wildlife Conservation Park

Conservatory Garden

This beautiful garden is home to the Children's Garden which has a wishing well surrounded by flowers. There is also a statue of children which beckons the child in all of us.

Dairy, The

This actually was a dairy with cows grazing on the meadow, back in the day. Now it is a visitor information center with information about the park's landscape and a few kid-friendly activities.

Dana Discovery Center

Nature study center. This is a boathouse which runs workshops all year round. Beautiful view of the Harlem Meer.

Inwood Hill Urban Ecology Center

This canoe house holds weekend walking tours of the surrounding park. Kids love the telescope inside the center. It may be out of the way but the exhibits are worth it for children. NYC with Kids, 5th Ed.

Lower East Side Ecology Center

Kids can learn the positive environmental effect of recycling and composting here. There are great displays and workshops to get involved in.
