Upper East Side
The Upper East Side runs south from East 96th Street to East 72nd Street. Central Park forms its western boundary. On the east, it is bounded by Third Avenue from 96th Street to 79th Street, and by the East River from 79th Street to 72nd Street. According to some guides, the Upper East Side includes the neighborhoods of Lenox Hill and Yorksville (mentioned below).
The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum are just two of the many museums that can be found on the Museum Mile (Fifth Avenue between 70th Street and 103rd Street) which runs through the Upper East Side.
